Ayashi no Ceres. It's a romance/mythical/historical fiction anime set to the Japanese legend of the celestial maiden who came to earth and went to bathe. She hung her magical robes over a tree branch while she bathed. A human male came along and took those robes, and so she was forced to marry him.
But in this anime, it twists it. The human who took the robes raped the celestial maiden, and while she hated him, she loved their children. Eventually, she killed her husband.
Many years later, in that same family line, you have twins, a boy and a girl. They live a fairly normal life until their 16th birthday. At the family party, it is revealed that the brother, Aki, is the reincarnate of the man who stole the maiden's robe, and that the sister, Aya, is the reincarnate of the maiden herself.
She is ordered to be executed by her grandfather, but in a twist, her father, who was supposed to kill her, tries to save her, and in doing so is killed. She runs, and is saved by a mysterious man, Toya, who saved her earlier the previous day. She is then passed off to another family, one of the members posesses the genes of a celestial maiden too.
More or less it chronicles her romance with Toya, and her struggles to control the celestial maiden who dwells within her, as well as her trying to escape her brother's advances, because he was completely overcome by the man he is reincarnate of.
