Fushigi Yugi, what order to read them in?

What order should I read the manga books in, I assume that v1 the mysterious play is the first one but after a while it changes from the mysterious play. So I was wondering if anyone could write out the order to read them in, or a link to somewhere? Thanks! :)|||Read all 18 volumes of Fushigi Yuugi: The Mysterious Play.


Then, go onto Fushigi Yuugi: Genbu Kaiden, which is still ongoing.





Genbu Kaiden, though, does not concern the priestess of Suzaku. It is a completely different story arc from the first Fushigi Yuugi. I've found that Ganbu Kaiden was more mature than the first FY, and the art style changed quite a bit.





You don't really have to read them in that order, since it is not a continuing story, but Genbu Kaiden is newer...so you are basically reading in order of production date....Which is also the order that Yuu Watase intended!|||well, the first series was fushigi yuugi the mysterious play, then comes fushigi yuugi genbu kaiden (still ongoing), and i've heard of the new fushigi yuugi kanzeban or something.





hope i helped ! ^_^|||Well the order that Yuu Watase published them was the Mysterious Play and then the Genbu Kaiden but Gebu Kaiden takes place before the Mysterious Play. I think that you should read the Mysterious Play first because there are somethings in Genu Kaiden that has a connection with the Mysterious Play that you'll only get if you read it first. But the choice is up to you, it doesn't really matter which one you read first, they both explain what's going on, the universe of the 4 gods ( the book), etc. Sorry it's so long, This series is one of my favorites :)
