Okay so I bought some 19.99 Fushigi ball online on the fushigi ball website and when I got ready to check out it added something else onto my bill so now it's like 63.99 like what the heck I didnt click check out or anything it just asumed I was ready to check out so anywyas the credit card I used was like a Office Depot or whatever rebate visa card for $30 but the fushigi ball was like 63 what will they do?|||The transaction should get canceled since your rebate visa card didn't have enough money on it.





Then, you should be able to purchase your Fushigi ball again. But wait until you get an email that says the transaction didn't go through.

Does anyone know a manga like Inuyasha or Fushigi Yuugi?

I'm talking about the type of anime where an ordinary school girl gets her life flipped upside down when something mythical happens, be it magic knights coming to serve her on her beck and call (Barajou no kiss) or a magice well or book that sends you to feudal japan (Inuyasha and fushigi yuugi). So, anyone got any ideas?|||You should try "Harukanaru Toki no Naka" as it's very similar to Fushigi Yuugi.


If you want to be technical there is also "Fruits Basket" where the main female character does have something mythical happen to her, and she does have her share of "knights" (i.e bishounens) who would do just about anything to bring a smile to her face.

If you live in the Philippines, I saw the novel (Manga Story that you were saying) "Fushigi Yuugi" in Fully booked, Powerplant in Makati yesterday. There are also Manga stores available (They only sell comic books and Manga Novels)

If you finished it already, Fushigi Yuugi OVA is also out there. It's the anime story where Tamahome and Miyaka get married. Miyaka becomes pregnant but one of her brother's students (who likes tamahome) steals their unborn child and goes in the book. Miyaka falls ill and Tamahome folows the girl to retrive the baby. She becomes the new lady of suzku (Because Miyaka didn't really save that world during Fushigi yuugi) etc.. etc... etc...

nevermind.|||it depends on how you define it actually working. all it is just a 1/2 pound metal ball with about a 1/2 in cote of this clear stuff which sort of putts on this illusion. it uses something called contact juggling which is just basically you doing stuff with it without making it fall which is bad, it must stay in your hands at all times. also if you show ur skills of to friends, dont let them try because odds are, they will be able to do most of the stuff you can do even after watching the dvd|||It's mostly a scam, its cool to have though. Its like a coloed thing in the middle with a glass? coating. They are illusions if you do the movements right, but all your buying is an overpriced ball. I new how to do the moves when I first got it, so its your choice :)|||You just have to be good with rolling a ball around your arms %26amp; body. The clear ball is for an illusion. Fushigi Yuugi: What chapter of which volume of the manga does Miaka meet Taka?

How does the Fushigi ball work?

This seems to be the most common question about the Fushigi ball, and unfortunately, it doesn't really make any sense. The Fushigi ball is just a normal metal ball for contact juggling, surrounded by a thin transparent shell. Metal balls and transparent acrylic balls have existed for years and have been used for the same purpose. However, the Fushigi company, after realizing that they were marketing a fire hazard to children with their original, normal acrylic balls, decided to put a metal ball in the center to decrease the lens-like effect (ever used sunlight and a magnifying glass to start a small fire?).





Acrylic balls themselves have been used in contact juggling for nearly twenty years. The illusion of floating comes from the "isolation" skill of being able to roll the ball over your body's surface while making it look like it's staying still. This enhances the idea that the ball is independent of the artist, and that it may float away like a bubble at any time. The fact that a good acrylic also looks like a crystal ball is, I assure you, purely coincidental.. ;)





The "trick" in the commercial that makes everyone think the ball is magic is when Kenny uses the upside-down "Thumb Hold" and then stares at the ball in disbelief. Anyway, if you're afraid of the fire hazard, either get a Fushigi ball or a colored acrylic ball, which will be much safer if left in the sun for short periods of time. i dont know how it works and i just see people touching it in a weird way, i dont know if it will levitate or just drop and crash!|||Well if you throw the fushigi in the air it will act much like any other ball. You will notice that when people are doing all the tricks their hands are always touching it. Sometimes they roll it around on their arms for effect but the point is that to pull off the illusions you must be touching the ball.|||It's just a simple transparent ball, so yes it'll just drop!

See these on TV all the time...don't want one, just wondered how it does what it does.|||Well, the Fushigi ball is what's known as "Contact Juggling". It's nothing they started, it's just a rebrand of it for the purpose of profit. Anyway it works because clear acrylic balls have a uniform surface - there are no 'tell marks'. If you attempt to hold the ball in a single spot in space, and manipulate it in any number of ways, the observer will not be able to tell that it is rotating in the fixed spot because of its surface being identical at all points. The same for a solid colored ball.

Why are they saying the fushigi ball floats?

Why isn't gravity a major factor? Why does it not fall to the ground? Why is the elements of the ball not affected by inertia? I believe it must an illusion of some sort? only seen it on tv. not held it in person. Oh course my scientific mind wants to know? how is it possible. Nothing beats the face of gravity and the laws of inertia? So how is it in the air?|||The levitation aspect is an illusion that can be accomplished with practice. Tamahome is Taka. To be more specific, Tamahome was reborn into Miaka's world as Taka, and that's why he has vague recollections of his past as a Seishi.

I don't have one but I have seen the commercials for it and was wondering how it works. Thaks|||I got one for Christmas. It basically just has clear thing Round it that makes it look like it's floating, atleast that's how my dad said it worked...you can learn cool tricks with it tho! I really love this manga so any info is great thanks!|||There is no absolute answer for this so I will make it quick....the releases for the series is very unpredictable, it depends on the number of staffs that are helping out the project and on the time they have.....there are more releases came out during the summer time than nowadays, which is the school season.....so, just wait patiently until it come out ^^...I know you are excited|||I think they're released quarterly, that is, every 4 months

I practice moves over the carpet but i might accidently drop it and it'll roll and hit the wall and get scratches. please help|||you cant|||Well if you mean like white scratches/marks you get from dropping it, usually nail polish remover works. There's almost like a dent going around the protected chrome ball, imagine if you put a straight line around the world until it looped? I'm not sure if it's a deficiency, or normal.

In Fushigi Yuugi does Miaka really have to sacrifice herself to summon the gods?

I'm watching episode 29 and her brother discovers that she will have to sacrifice herself when she is summoning suzaku. Is that true and if so how does she get out of doing it? I don't care about spoilers, so just tell me. Thank u :)


and please don't say that I should just watch the show and find out for myself lol..I'm impatient.|||Yes. Miaka was supposed to... but like a typical shoujo manga, she wasn't sacrificed. What happened was, in the end, Yui used her third wish for Miaka. She wished that Miaka could summon Suzaku, and she did. Then, because Yui was also meant to be a sacrifice, she was devoured by Seiryuu. Miaka used one of her wishes to wish Yui back. After the wish was completed, she felt weaker, and realized that it was true that she was supposed to be a sacrifice (she didn't believe her brother when he told her). Anyway, she ends up being saved from being devoured by Suzaku by I guess the "power of friendship"? All the warriors came together in order to save Miaka, and gave their lives to do so (so... just in case that wasn't clear, they died for Miaka), preventing her from being devoured.


Yeah... huge spoilers, sorry.

So perhaps 涓嶅彲鎬濊 (fukashigi) is like Christianity's "miraculous."

It doesn't really float on air, the artists just manipulate the ball to make the illusion that it does. They just have lots of practice. I heard from someone that the Fushigi ball is made differently from a normal contact juggling ball in that it uses some form of static electricity located within the body to help keep it from rolling off as easily as an actual contact juggling ball. I started reading Fushigi Yuugi after hearing about how amazing it is. And I really liked it. However I can't find any chapters past chapter 43, and I really wanna keep reading it! Wiki says that there is a hundred something chapters out there. Where are they? If you know where I can find them please tell me, I've been looking all over online.|||From what I know, most sites took it down as a request from Viz, who published the manga in English. If you really like the series, you should consider buying them online. Or, see if your local public library has the volumes on hand - it used to be a really popular back in the day, so I'm pretty sure you could check them out from a library.





Also, do check out Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden once you finish the original - prettier art, better heroine, nicer story.

Well, im just reading the manga Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden and noticed that theres Fushigi Yuugi as well. Is there some sort of relation between the two, and if so, which should i read first?|||Genbu Kaiden is what happens before Fushigi Yuugi but you can read them in any oder. They are stories that can stand alone. Also they are by the same author. I like Genbu Kaiden better but they are both good.|||According to Wikipedia, Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden is a prequel to Fushigi Yuugi. Usually, it's best to just read manga like this in the order it was written, so I would suggest reading Fushigi Yuugi first.

However I must say it is a very overpriced. Also there is a fantastic book which I recommend to a lot of people. It is simply call "Contact Juggling" by James Ernest. A fantastic book for learning from.
