Is there a difference between Fushigi Yuugi and Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden?

Just want to know if there is, and which one comes first if there is a difference.|||I've only read Fushigi Yuugi, but I know that it comes before Fushigi Yuugi Genbu Kaiden. Genbu Kaiden is like the sequel.
