How is the fushigi ball any different from a regular ball? Can you use a regular ball instead of a fushigi?

Instead of using a fushigi can you just use a regular tennis ball?|||It is a reflective metalized core inside a clear plastic shell which makes for images and lighting changes. As these people say http://www.asseenontvonsale.com/fun-and-鈥?/a> it is a kind of contact juggling (you don't throw it in the air) that takes time to learn and is over priced.

A tennis ball would not be a good choice as it is too light and too bouncy. One long answer suggests a hard lacrosse ball or regular juggling or billiard ball.|||contact juggling?! this is seriously the gayest thing ever.

|||I was looking around myself for answers to exactly what the fushigi ball is and found:

http://www.whatisafushigiball.com/ has info about the ball as the art form contact juggling which is what the ball is used for.

|||No, you do not want to use a tennis ball as it is made for it's bounce. The Fushigi ball is actually an acrylic ball specially made for contact juggling. However I must say it is a very overpriced. You can actually go to some of the juggling supply sites like "The Juggling Store" here is there link to the contact juggling supplies http://www.jugglingstore.com/store/SearchResult.aspx?KeyWords=contact%26amp;Exact=True

Also there is a fantastic book which I recommend to a lot of people. It is simply call "Contact Juggling" by James Ernest. A fantastic book for learning from. Also if you get a chance check out Michael Motion, he is the premier Contact Juggler. If you have ever seen the movie Labryinth, he was the man behind David Bowie doing the contact juggling scenes in that movie.
